The Savage 99 is a great looking gun. I wish Savage would come out with a new version of it. I have a 308 and a 300 savage. Both shoot amazingly well. But they have lived beyond their years and for the sake of putting more scratches on them they are now wall hangers. If anyone know some one at savage tell them to make a new version I would get one in a heart beat.

If they built a new 99, most of us could not afford it at today's labor costs. I think I read where it would cost upwards of $1,500 to produce them today with an MSRP pushing $2,000. Not many could or would pay that for them.

Having a mod 99 savage wouldn't be classic without considering the 300 savage,303 savage, 250/3000.Though the .308, 243,.284 358 and 22 high power were also chambered. Why not find one of each?
