I stated it before, the damn media and the anti gun movement came up with these names to scare the public. Names like Weapons of war, assault weapons and cop killer bullets.

If your personal net worth is under 1 million dollars any firearm you own may be a assault weapon. If you are a member of a protected class, the David Gregory exclusion, or have enough money to buy security the odds are that any firearms used by your crew will be deemed legal, or non prosecutable. Living in a state with an over 10 million urban population means that the non urban population is at a severe disadvantage.

The "bans" started with guns needing two (2) characteristics to be classified as an "assault" weapon.
SOME of those characteristics were pistol grip stock, detachable magazine, semi auto, bayonet lug and on and on!
The "current" (New York's "Cuomo Law" and Feinstein's proposal) only require "ONE" of those characteristics!
That means your old Mossberg bolt action .30-30 is an assault weapon because it has a "detachable" magazine!
Your gramps old Rem Mod 11 is an assault weapon! (it's semi-auto!)
....and it just goes on from there!
Give 'em an inch (gun grabbers!) and they'll take a mile! (or all they can get!)
