To salute NY's new gun laws, this morning I ordered a remington 700 SPS long range model, in 25-06, I want a good long range load for it, preferably using a ballistic tip, having a hard time finding recipes, anyone got a good one for this application?

I have used IMR 4350 with good results. Search for loads for your 25-06. Work up carefully. It seems in my experience that even guns from the same manufacturer differ in how they handle load combinations. www.americanrifleman.org/articles/35-years-loading-25-06 This article might interest you.

One that is accurate for me is 117 gr. Hornady SST's over IMR-4350. Sierra 117 BT is a close second with RL-22 in my Savage.

A 110 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip over 55.0 grains of IMR-7828 should move out at 3,111 fps and is listed as the most accurate for that bullet of the loads tested. That is a max load with a pressure of 50,800 PSI so do not exceed it. But, that will be a real flat shooter in your new long range rifle.
