    Thanks for the info, Jim. Any idea why it was made under the Western Auto name? Just another question if you're bored. If your not bored, dont worry about it.

      It was often done that way. A store such as Sears would buy a gun from a manufacturer and order some guns but they wanted their brand on it, so in the case of Sears they had Ted Williams on many of their guns. JC Penny and Wards did it too. Those gun names are what's known as House Brands.

        yeah, that must have been way before my day. Thanks for the input. By the way, that gun is a shooter!!! I haven't actually measured the groups, but with federal premium with nosler ballistic tips, they are very impressive!!!
