Right now if you want it cheap you are going to have to wait. The cheapest way to get one is to build it yourself Del-ton and Model 1 Sales are both great choices. This is especially the way to go if you want your rifle to be tacti-cool.
As for complete rifles the different brands pretty much cost the same it all the little features that will jack up the price.

I've had good luck with my olympic arms ar. I doubt you find one "at a decent price"; the price of AR's have skyrocketed since the Obama administration has came into office.

DPMS, Bushmaster, Colt, Rock River, Smith and Wesson.... all good.

Bushmaster and Rock River Arms are the best and most dependable! They probably cost the most, but they're worth it! I own a Bushmaster and love it. If I could afford it I would also get a Rock River Arms.

i would go with a DEL-TON they are a little cheaper than other brands, but they are just as good if not better quality, if you want to spend a little more on a bigger brand name, i would go with Bushmaster, DPMS, Rock River, S&W, or Colt in that order, but if it were me i would go with DEL-TON.

Most major brands are all built to about the same specs, so you shouldn't have a problem with most makes and models. Main thing is to figure out what configuration you need for your intended uses. Do you want a compact M-4 style for home defense etc... A heavy bull barrel for varmint hunting, or a standard rifle model for all around useage. Then you get into flat top or standard upper, type of optics you plan on using if any, acessory rails, etc......

Make sure it has a 1 in 9 twist to 1 in 7 so you can shoot 60 grain bullets. 1 in 14 60 grain will tumble!

An AR expert told me to get the Bushmaster. It meets Mil-Spec, and is quite accurate.
