Does anyone here have and shoot a 7x64? If I can get my hands on one I'm going to buy it, within reason. Tell me your experience with it if you have one.

I have a 7x64 build by my wifes grandfather on a Mauser 98 action. It is a great rifle and I have used it to kill numerous deer. It is very accurate and has enough power to kill anything in North America. That said, I wouldn't recommend the 7x64 unless, like me, you just like uncommon cartridges. It is virtually identical to the .280 Remington in performance and the .280 ammo is much easier to come by. I have stocked up on ammo everytime I come across it, but that's rare and your choices are limited. Hope this helps. Happy hunting.
