What do you guys think about oversized bolt knobs? are there any advantages or disadvantages of having them? I personally think they're VERY cool

I love them because you don't have to search around to find you bolt handle all of the time. They make follow-up shots a whole lot easier. (And look cool)

I like them because you get a better grip, and what hjohn429 said.

I don't care for them as they are ugly, I like for all of my rifles to feel similiar so I can reach for and throw the bolt it is the same regardless of the rifle choice (yeah I know the action length makes a difference but I seem to compensate for that), plus they get in the way of things. I just never got used to them but obviously others find them a plus so I would suggest trying one out and making your own decision.

I consider an oversized bolt knob a practical choice on target or varmint rifles, but I prefer a slimmer profile for a rifle that I intend to carry in the brush.

The Mannlicher Shonauer butter knife handle is the coolest looking bolt to me.

I like them because they are much easier on your hand when you pull them back then a butter knife or smaller knobbed bolt.

I think they're pretty cool too, but only on the right rifle.

An over sized bolt knob on a rifle of high recoil will give you a sore knuckle and bring blue prose to your lips, especially if the knob is highly etched.

I understand the reason someone would pick the heavier bullets. However, heavier bullets cause greater recoil and will affect recovery time and may result...

I wouldn’t spend that much on a 10/22 but I might on a bolt gun. For that kind of money I expect some style to go with it, of the Cooper or Annie level....
