I Have Dan Wesson 44mag revolver model 40 w/a7inch barrel - S#B025579. I have been told that it is a collectors item. I would like to know if anyone knows anything about this gun or if someone can tell me where to look to find out what it may be worth. Thanks

Check out this book: Standard Catalog Of Firearms 2009 by Dan Shideler. It is a great resource for finding gun values (old or new). It runs about $40 so I wouldn't buy it unless you really wanted to. I would check it out at your local Barnes & Noble, or your local gun shop should have one (for consignment purposes). I have been referring this book to a lot of people, but it's a great book. It may not tell you if its a "collectable" but if it is, that will be reflected in the price.
Welcome!
