  • Gun cleaning

Since yesterday was St. Swithin's Day, I'm going to follow D.E.P.'s advice and clean a couple guns this weekend.

Whatever the weather was on the 15th, you will get 40 more days of it.

I clean my firearms halfway through the summer.

I'm not very religious about cleaning all my firearms on a schedule but I should be. I have some that have not been fired in maybe 50 years but I do clean them at least once per year. I clean all my "fun" rifles every time I finish shooting them because I never know when I'll use them next time. Target rifles get cleaned as soon as I'm finished using them. P-dog rifles get cleaned throughout the day, typically every 400-500 rounds depending on how well they are shooting.

Hate to say it mine only get annual routine check ups and oiling since I don’t seem to ever have time to shoot them.
