  • Copycat shootings.

Four mass shootings in 6 hours leave 38 wounded, 6 dead across U.S.

If these incidents were treated as local news, there would be a lot fewer of them.

Why do you call these copycat shootings? Democrat run urban utopias have been seeing this activity forever. Young blacks with illegal guns violating dozens of laws are a daily occurrence in our thugocracies. New post-Constitutional DAs, many of them elected using Soros bucks, let these gang bangers out to ride roughshod amoung their communities. They get out the vote, they manufacture the vote, and they count the votes. Democrat Civilization 101. Outrage over the carnage is unconvincing.

In years gone by, a murder was treated as a local incident, and was not broadcast in every town and hamlet from coast to coast.
What happened in Las Vegas stayed in Las Vegas.
Now, with the blessing of the First Amendment, newcasters are free to publicize every shooting as the lead story of the day, with names and pictures of the shooter, including his grievances.
A lot of free publicity for him and inspiration for the next shooter.
Gang warfare and drive-by shootings by uncivilized denizens of Chicago are in a separate category as unsolved murders.

I think the anti-gun crowd and news media see the shootings as useful, if not condonable, since their goal is ultimately getting rid of guns. Not saying they're happy to see people harmed and killed -- even a NY Times reporter is a human being, probably -- but I think it's reached a point where they're like, "Well, the shootings are going to happen anyway, and there are a lot of terrible things going on nowadays, and ultimately gun crime and mass tragedies will help sway public opinion and help us reach a day when there are no longer any guns." Collateral damage.

We have the equivalent of the St Valentine's Day Massacre on a weekly if not quite daily basis. Democrat urban Utopia's are not examined because the narrative is that the Democrats care. That fact that Democrats urban carnage continues to build isn't part of the narrative. The NRA is part of the narrative, but not the Democrat gang culture. Scumsucking media continues to misinform. Snow hole is misinformation personified along with Yahoo News.
