    Complexity could hardly be considered a virtue in guns for the civilian market either.

      Somethings can seem complicated but really aren't.

      Do what you've always done, get what you've always got. Sometimes to get a truly disruptive innovation, you have to release something that will need a few iterations before it's fully mature.

        The AR platform is an excellent example of that. It was 50-60 years after the platforms development that manufacturing capabilities reached the level to mass produce properly stress relieved light profile barrels as intended in the original design.
