I keep looking for a deal on a Scandium J frame .357 mag.
    They are nasty.

I guess the first rule is to have a gun.
Big super boomers left at home aint gonna cut it.
Little stuff is better than no stuff.
Have been thinking of that Scandium J magnum, or a little 9mm glock loaded w the hottest stuff I can get.

Lugged my all steel 1911 for decades.

When you have back pain a change in holster can help. Might not fix it all.
In and out of vehicles.........doesn't take much to make one a cripple for the day.

      Getting old sucks.

But we have a wider range of gunsthat aid in comfort these days.
With the gang nonsense, home invasions.........the good guy vs one or two bad guys is out of style.

Might very well need more rounds.

Ferfal had a blog where he talked about gang in Argentina coming at his vehicle at stop lights.
      Suppression fire.

Mid size polymer frame 9mm might be the way to go for an all arounder.
Full size for just a truck gun. Load on Saturday, shoot all day Sunday kinda thing LOL

A "J" frame .357 Mag. must be a beast to shoot.
You would probably develop a flinch after firing one cylinder of .357's.

High capacity mags allow for more shots to land on target.
For some that may be a function of luck.
For those that can shoot, it just means the threat will be stopped faster....by multiple hits.
Some folks shoot AT stuff. Some folks shoot stuff.
It may dependent on a variety of things, and mindset part of it.
Cops are not hired to be killers. And with the media and other PC crap I do wonder if lawyer stuff is in their head when they should be concentrating on that front sight.

Saw some gov agent gal shooting her Glock at Indoor range. Talked the talk blah blah blah.
B27 at 15 ft. She missed some.

Seen copdudes pull the same flubbery.

Few yrs back some cop or wannabe on another forum was bragging about the superiority of the .40 S&W. He gut shot a doe w bow, found it next day and jumped it.......popped it twice "center mass" (sounds like more gut shooting to me) w fabulous four oh..........and still lost the deer.

Do some bullets make some cartridges perform better? Maybe.
Is it smart to pic a bullet that excels in one situation, but is considerably lesser in others?
Or is it smart to pick something that just does good across the board?

              Fun stuff to kick around.

I do think folks have different visual and mental acuity.
Those that can fine focus, hard focus, and think fast.........can land multiple good hits.
Some folks, through no fault of their own...will never be able to do that.
Training may help. It might also mess things up.

Some hunters flub stuff when a bit of pressure hits 'em.

                People are funny/interesting.

I believe that high capacity magazines were adopted by law enforcement after the 1986 Miami FBI shootout to reduce the need for reloads in the middle of a firefight, and not to allow for more shots to land on target. More lead in the air does not translate into more hits.

For a good light carry gun look at the taurus pt 111. It us cheap light and does the job.

                      No thanks.
I sent too many back when working for a gun shop.
Wasn't a bad batch type of thing either.

If ya got one and it works for you, that's great.

I own two of them just for a cheap carry gun that I can toss around. Mine are both gen 2 if that makes a difference

It is hard for me to even try to figure out why someone would want to play this. Even if you are into that, then you should atleast spin the cylinder everytime. PEOPLE

I think Russian Roulette is more fun if you load three chambers.
Robert DeNiro did that in "The Deer Hunter."

There is a movement afoot to sell the state of Montana to Canada for $1 trillion to pay off part of our national debt.
                                  It would become South Alberta....
