    Fill the can up with water and that will take care of your problem. After that you can dispose of it by pouring it out of the ground in your back yard.

    I think you should spread it throughout your yard. Mixing with water is probably a good idea.

    First Bubba has a good solution (sorry about the pun!) - mix it with water and scatter it (well) on the lawn. The potassium nitrate will make good fertilizer.

    Last tume I had REAL black powder to dispose of, I built a small fire, then tossed small amounts at a time into the fire. The kids got a kick out of flash and smoke.
    Anymore, I would thoroughly wet the powder with water and scatter the liquid on the ground.
