After a long time with rifles and shotguns, I'm thinking of buying my first handgun. Right now, I'm torn between a taurus 92 9mm

    cgrodybass, I am guessing since you already own rifles and shotguns you have shot a ton of handguns. You sound like you don't lack in the experience department. The 92 style is a great handgun, very accurate. I am a Glock guy myself but they are ALL good

    I say go hold a few and let the hand gun "pick" you. I have used the Beretta 92 in the Infantry and it is a shooter. I don't know if it cost much more than the Taurus, but I personally have zero Taurus experience. I don't feel the least bit undergunned with the 9mm and I have 100% confidence it will not jam in the middle of the night. I got that confidence shooting it a lot and keeping it clean.
