Hi...
Realistically? A 12 gauge. Otherwise, whatever my sherpa is carrying.

For a survival situation with a choice of just one gun, I’d take a 12 gauge pump with a mix of ammo – slugs or 00 buckshot for defense, on down to smaller shot for taking small game for food.

remington 870 12 gauge, with slugs, buckshot, and birdshot. I might put a burris fastfire on it.
if possible I would also take a .22 pistol.

What ever my guide is carrying. When I have been in the Yukon that could be anything from a 222 through 338.

With food being a primary concern for survival, I would select a semi-auto target style pistol.
I'll come back for moose on my next vacation.

my marlin 1895XLR in .45-70 government. Reliable, fast reloads, and good protection from the biggest of bears. It can also take deer, elk, bison, sheep, caribou, and moose. Finally shot shells can be made for small game and birds.
