I'm considering a takedown recurve bow. Problem is I have a 31" draw, and most bow manufactureres only recommend a 28" draw max.

    A bows weight rating is measured at 28". That doesn't mean that the max draw length is 28" though. You could also try a little longer string.

    You could shorten your draw length by adding a long D-loop and using a release.

    I'm considering a takedown recurve bow. Problem is I have a 31" draw, and most bow manufactureres only recommend a 28" draw max. One bow shop recommended a Ragim Wildcat or Matrix in a 70" bow due to the draw length. Anyone have any ideas on other manufacturers or suggestions in a takedown recurve bow?
