Bushnell is making the elite 4500 again.

Tooling around the internet looking at assorted items. I stumbled onto the bushnell website and they are making the 4500 series again. I had a 3500 in 3-9x40. Nice piece of equipment for 199.99. If the 4500 are as good as the 3500 series I may have to have one. I can say it was robust that scope took a couple of pretty good whacks. And held zero. And that was back when i shoot a lot. Buy a lot I mean 300-400 rounds a year. It was on my beloved .270. Not a monster kicking rifle but you knew when you shot it.

Bushnell has moved production from LOW in Japan to another manufacturer in Korea, the few reports I’ve seen have been positive. Hopefully they’ll keep QC to the level they used to.

I use a Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x on my primary hunting rifle (Sendero 25-06). It has excellent glass and is very accurate. Hit rates are high on 1000 yard p-dogs and it has taken its share of antelope, coyotes and deer. It has the excellent "firefly" reticle illumination that I really like... no batteries to fail. If I'm not mistaken, this scope line was acquired from Baush and Lomb years ago along with their exceptional lens making process. I think the 4500 is similar but I'm not sure.
