That's only an average of $1,615.05 per item, well within the confines of the average outdoorsman's budget.

Me thinks it's time for a reality check.
Just make the check out to Phil, we can split it ?
    Real or otherwise !

So if one can't afford the top end.....do they just p*ss and moan and buy nothing?

Or do top ends rigs get them searching for other stuff with some of the same features? Next step or two down....maybe from same manufacture...........or heaven forbid, looking for a used one at local gun/bow shop.

I think it perfectly fine to blow thousands on guns/bows. And totally ridiculous to pay what they want for some new truck/SUV. Or worse, buying a dang car.

Folks go to the movies or casinos, or drink/smoke their money away.
Lots of things to waste money on.

Want good stuff on a normal budget? Don't get married or have kids.
Get snipped at 16 and when you're 30 you're biggest life decisions will be......

do I take the red Jeep out with the blue bass boat.....or do I take the blue Jeep out with the red bass boat?
      I don't own anything Yeti.

Rather read about stuff I might never be able to afford.

The Mossberg 500 and H&R handi rifle love fest stuff is pretty darn boring.

Personally, I'd rather read about somebody using a really cool rifle and shooting something besides a deer with it.

Am screwed this coming year already, but 2020 I might just get a Merkel shotgun or rifle.

          Why not?

May never pop a big European boar with one, but I can get the rifle and pretend just fine at my local range

Maybe stoop so low as to fill a deer tag with it.

A list of Christmas gift suggestions is supposed to be about ideas for giving or receiving. With only a few exceptions, no one on here will be giving or receiving the absurdly expensive stuff on this list. Fantasizing would be a different kind of publication ... Victoria's Secret maybe?
