If you are talking strictly a pocket knife and not a lock blade, then the one that I carry is a three bladed Uncle Henry. I consider lock blades in a different category than a pocketknife but then I am old and remember being able to carry pocket knives to school with no repercussions.

Victornox Executive(Swiss Army) 2 blades, scissors, file, serrated blade plus tweezers and pick.

I have field dressed a deer with this knife - have it with me all the time.

I always have on me, excluding school, a Swiss army knife with a fish on it. It's basically the same as the standards but instead of a serrated edge it has a de-scaler and de-hooker. I use it constantly. Whenever I go into the field, weather it be for bird and waterfowl hunting, deer, pig, or fishing, I always have in my bag the small sized ka-bar, and either a boker, kershaw, or spyderco.

I currently carry a small Case lock-back pocket knife with a 2 1/2" blade and stag scales. For many years, I carried a two-blade folder, but noticed a long time ago that I never used the spey blade, as I have no livestock in need of castration. The single blade lock-back is also lighter and flatter in profile.
I remember carrying my Boy Scout knife to school dangling from my belt for all to see.

I have a number of several Case pocket knives. I usually carry a goldenrod trapper or a red bone stockman.

About a year ago I bought a Gerber EVO tanto bladed folder for around $16 from Wal Mart. While it doesn't have the travel miles or work load of some of the blades mentioned, it is a very fine, compact, and light knife that was basically an impulse buy.

kershaw, but the one I have been carrying recently is a case international ( the tractor company ) folder. a good knife, useful more most everything a pocket knife is good for.

I've had a number of Boker brand knives $20-$120. Automatic, Traditional Multi Tool from steel, ceramic to Damascus. All very good fit and finish.
