I have a battery charger that can charge at 2 or 8 amps. For charging a deep cycle battery for the first time of the year, what setting should I put the charger on? Also, how long should I let it charge?

2 amps. If it is a automatic charger it will say so on the front and turn off or go to trickle automatically, if not divide the battery amp hour capacity by 2 amps and leave it for that amount of time. Even if left on longer, 2 amps should not hurt it.
