wow, bin forever since I bin on here..... anyways, I'm shootin my martin compound at 65# right now, with 28.5in 400 spine goldtip arrows, any ideas why my groups i can wrap two fingers around my arrows out to 30yds, but then my arrows just go the heck past that? my friend mentioned i try stiffer spined arrows, would this help or is it a waste?

Is your bow tuned?? this could be the problem. Your spine is right I shot the same arrow at 72 lbs with no issue. Paper tuning is critical for a bow to shoot well.

Distance multiplies error. A two inch miss at 20 yards becomes a 4 inch miss at 40.

I think Mikeo714 is on the right track. Paper tuning will tell you a lot. My brother checked my bow by removing the fletching on one of my arrows, then had me shoot at 10 yards through paper that was a couple feet in front of my target. If tuned properly, the hole will be round.I found that my rest was a little too close to the riser, I was getting a side to side slash. It tightened up my groups at all distances. It's certainly worth a try.
