Whisker biscuit VS. drop away rest what do you like better?

I've never used a drop away, but I'm a huge supporter of the Whisker Biscuit. I love mine.

I shoot a whisker biscuit and like it. It supports the arrow well and shoots well. I'm sure it creates a little drag in comparison to a drop away, but not enough to influence my opinion. Whenever you can simplify things and get away from moving parts, it's probably a good idea.

I use a whisker biscuit. I've shot a bow at the local shop with a drop away. As far as shooting, I didn't see a difference but I'll go with PHW. I always go with simplicity with my gear.

Thanks for the answers. I have a drop away but I've had nothing but trouble with it so I'm back to a whisker biscuit it's nothing special but it's reliable.

I shoot whisker biscuit as well for the simplicity and in my experience the fewer moving parts the better

I like the biscuit too, there is nothing really that can go wrong with it when you need it to work.

I have only heard, and never seen, of one instance where a whisker biscuit froze up and couldn't be shot. The story I heard of was from my electricians sister who lives in Kodiak, and was on, I believe, a bear hunt when freezing rain followed by a cold snap froze it up to where the arrow was half unfletched when it was shot. If the story is true, it's the only downfall I've never seen.

i shoot neither, i have 3 brushes that contain my arrow (whatever that is called). but i would have to go with a whisker biscuit if those are my only two options. i have not heard one complaint from drop away rests, but more moving parts just does not sit easy with me, its just one more thing that can fail on you.

Even I can't screw up a whisker biscuit. Any hunting gear that's idiot proof, is worth it's weight in gold.

I use a drop away. I am sure a whisker biscuit is fine I jusy like less contact on my arrow. I have never had a problem with mine. You just have to take good care of your equipment and make sure everything is functioning properly. I replace all the cordage on my bow yearly, except the string, to make sure I do not have any issues with dry rot.

I love the drop away. You need to spend a little extra and get a quality drop away.

I guess my only real issue with the biscuit is that it is full containment which means your bow arm has got to be rock steady until the arrow clears. But then again it should be anyway.
I guess I could see that could freeze solid as in Pray-hunts post.

I shoot a drop away and love it, as long aas it stays tuned. I shot a hostage rest (scratchgolf, i think thats what they call them) for years and liked that although it was a cheapo and could've been better. I like the concept.

Whiskers beat up the fletching and can freeze.

Won't disagree, but getting away from Gov. Cuomo (D-NY) is a matter of life and death.
