I'm going to buy a new bow and I'm trying to decide between the Bear Legion or the PSE brute, which one is better?

As cool of a man as Fred Bear may have been, I'm not a huge fan of the archery equipment. I would choose the PSE. I recommend not buying a package bow, and putting your own accessories on it. JMO.

I have a bear encounter and love it. Shoot everything in your price range and pick what ever you feel most comfortable with. There are a lot of good bows in that price range.

Out of those two I would say scrap them both and buy a Hoyt. I have a two year old Maxxis, i've shot a Spyder Turbo and recommend it if you are buying new.
