I'm thinking about buying a new compound bow and I was wondering what bow you would suggest?

Everyone can tell you what to buy but until you actually find what is best for you, you will have to try many different bows to the best fit for you. I shot 4 different bows before choosing the bow I currently own. Just make sure to pick the one best suited for you. Buckeye had the right I idea as well.

mission is a very good for beginners. they dont break the bank, and they are made by matthews so they are good bows. i personaly have the Mission Menace and it has done a good job.

I have a bear encounter and love. My suggestion would be to shoot every bow you can in your price range and pick the one the you feel the most comfortable shooting. Most good bow shops will let you try out the bows before you buy them.

Try the hoyt charger It is a great bow. It is right around 500 and is a fast, smooth draw bow. Many people say it is a $850 bow for $500. It is a hoyt after all.

And I should also note, that I dont want to pay more than $500.
