    I catch a lot of brook trout, mainly the 8-10" range; but I would love to goto Canada and fly fish for some of the brook trout up there, they are huge according to some of the fishing shows.

      I live in canada and fish for brookies all the time...8-10" brooks are common for small creeks. Once you get into the medium sized rivers they start getting into the 10-14" range and ive pulled out a few 4 and 5 pounders...Those guys go right back where they came from. Its also common to catch nice sized walleye on the medium sized rivers too. Truly one of the best places on earth. Wouldnt want to be anywhere else

          i dont think ive caught one over 11 inches. It was on a fly, dont remember what pattern.

            I havent caught many brookies, but i did catch a nice size 16'' on a locust, it was a bait i was trying, its kinda like a spoon but weighted in the front of the lure

                About 8 inches in a native stream in the North Georgia Mountians. Deer hair cricket.

                    probably a bit over a foot on a soft plastic creature bait and a small worm hook, drop shot rig.

                          In pa. where i fish, native brookies are small. I'm thrilled to occassionally catch a ten incher. Always release'm
