SL, are you fishing the lake, or the river entering it ? If the lake itself, what method are you using ? Darn nice fish, congrats.

Very nice. I miss access to the Great Lakes. Those fish swim about 20 mph and can really stretch a line. So much fun. Thanks for posting. I may be dreaming about them tonight.

Nice fish! Are you keeping any to eat, or catch and release?

Fishing the creeks. If I fish the lake it’s where the mouth enters. Pretty much egg sacks, minns, or spoon.

I’m mostly catch and release but if they bleed like that big one in the pic I’ll keep it. She took the egg sack easy a never felt the bite so it was a deep hook set.

A charter boat Capt. out of Grand River was on the morning radio and he was getting them in 40' to 45' of water . Find the pod and just keep moving around it. He was using orange/silver spoon and jointed rapalas.
