I need help. I'll be in Las Vegas for a few days at the end of March with my wife. I've been to Vegas a dozen times and have yet to find a nice little trout stream within a 3 hour drive. I've done Meade and the CO river. Any advice would be appreciated.

How far is the Cimmaron river from there? I fished that and caught some great cutts there.

Check with the fish wildlife and parks for that area.

Buckhunter, head up I-15 to Cedar city Utah, then make your way east through Cedar Breaks and toward Panguitch Lake (you don't need to go to the town of Panguitch, just go toward the lake, you can find it on mapquest.com) Anyway, just before you get to the lake look for a sign that says "Mammoth Creek" - That is your spot. You can also go down a few miles and fish the stream below the lake. Have fun!

I realize this was posted last year...but the next time you're in Vegas, besides the Panguitch area, there is also Duck Creek and Navajo Lake in the same area. They are just southwest of Panguitch. You can mapquest Duck Creek Village or Navajo Lake Resort. (Utah) Last year I caught and released over 100 trout in 3 days on Duck Creek and caught several bows and a few browns up to 5 pounds at Navajo Lake.

Dang Bubba, it would've never occurred to me to try that. Wouldn't even attempt it for the risk of weakening the case and have a head blowout. I'm betting...
