I have a lot of experience with Trout Magnets and LOVE THEM. They are split-tailed jigs that come with shad dart heads. Both bodies and heads have color options. These things fall flat and I do my best fishing them under a small float just off the bottom. Regualarly adjust your float to find the depth where the fish are. Mainly I dead drift them but sometimes I slightly twitch my rod in slow moving water. This things really catch trout, bluegill, bass, carp, etc. Because they are small and light I always fish them on 2lb line so I can cast them a distance and I use a fluorocarbon leader. Never really cared for them until my buddy stuck one on and starting fishing circles around me. Just stick the bobber on them and get them to bounce off the bottom with a good drift. Trout are stuck on them like a magnet haha.
