When you say ladybug lure, are you talking about the fly? There are a variety of beetle-type flies that trout will take when they're feeding on terrestials (summertime on windier days), and I have actually caught trout on beetle flies tied in colors that more or less match lady bugs. I doubt seriously, though, that trout will key on the colors when feeding on terrestrials like that. It tends to be the "plop" of the fly that triggers the strike. I usually have better luck throwing hoppers than I do throwing beetles.
