    I use a heavy but clear mono like 8 or 10 in lakes and 4 in streams i seem to be doin all right

    Floro is my favorite too, good, strong, abrasion resistant line, and it is easy to find in the sizes i want.

    Flourocarbon. Your not gonna tie good knots with your spiderwire and it will not turn a fly over.

    Come here often? What the hell kinda answer is that?
    Plus I have used smaller, lighter lines before and for the trout I try to catch, I need stronger line for all the snags and brush piles.

    I would use something a little lighter. I use 2 lb. mono on small streams, and 4 lb on larger streams. clear or lt blue

    What is the best kind of line to use when fly fishing? I dont mean fly-line, Im talking regular line that will hold up great! I use Spiderwires 20lb test braided Stealth line. It has a 6 lb diameter. Is this line good?
