What is the best kind of line to use when fly fishing? I dont mean fly-line, Im talking regular line that will hold up great! I use Spiderwires 20lb test braided Stealth line. It has a 6 lb diameter. Is this line good?

I would use something a little lighter. I use 2 lb. mono on small streams, and 4 lb on larger streams. clear or lt blue

Come here often? What the hell kinda answer is that?
Plus I have used smaller, lighter lines before and for the trout I try to catch, I need stronger line for all the snags and brush piles.

Flourocarbon. Your not gonna tie good knots with your spiderwire and it will not turn a fly over.

Capt Brad it took me a second but yea, I got it.

Floro is my favorite too, good, strong, abrasion resistant line, and it is easy to find in the sizes i want.
