Under certain circumstances. It has to be cool and cloudy, with plenty of action. Fishing and catching King and large Spanish circumstances can be very enjoyable. Also, I hooked the largest King Mackerel during a storm at the pier in Fort Walton Beach, FL. He jumped and broke a 40-lb steel leader.

There is no substitute for red snapper. Unfortunately, they have been wiped out by commercial fishermen.

Yes, I fish inshore out of Rockport, and Port A. Live to fish forced to work.

The unpredictable nature of saltwater fishing is the appeal for me. I caught an undersized triggerfish on one trip, not even 12 inches, and my buddy caught a shark nearly four feet long standing right next to me. Same bait, same rig, story of my life.

I love taking my boys offshore for snapper, kingfish, Spanish mackerel. They're excellent anglers and good sports. We don't seem to have much luck nearshore, though.
