Under certain circumstances. It has to be cool and cloudy, with plenty of action. Fishing and catching King and large Spanish circumstances can be very enjoyable. Also, I hooked the largest King Mackerel during a storm at the pier in Fort Walton Beach, FL. He jumped and broke a 40-lb steel leader.
There is no substitute for red snapper. Unfortunately, they have been wiped out by commercial fishermen.
