What is your favorite fish and why?

Mine is a toss up between Walleye and Chinook Salmon and often depends on what I'm eating at the moment.

I kinda' lean towards walleye when it comes to eating but Kings (Chinook) are definately the Champ when it comes to angling.

My favorite is trout in a river or stream. Second to that is probably active bass, they are great fighters and topwater fishing is alot of fun.

To catch or eat? To catch for freshwater it is Smallmouth bass. To catch and eat for saltwater its a toss up between stripers and tuna.

Alaskan Lake Trout is the tastiest Salmonid IMO. Chinook or King Salmon will give you one heck of a fight but I will go with Silver Salmon on lite tackle 'cause they jump more.
In fresh water love to catch a big Fla Largemouth and eat Walleye, Crappie (Speckled Perch in Central Fla) and Channel cats all fileted and in that order.
One other thing Arctic Grayling are very tasty too kind of like eating a Crappie (not like a trout at all).
