Yea, just talked to a buddy from Vegas, he said striper fishing on Meade/around the dam is a good spot.

Oops! I was thinking trout fishing. I know Lake Meade has some serious striper fishing and if you drive a few miles into Arizona you can hit the Colorado River where they say is the best striper fishing in the world. (they say)

Your best bet is to drive to Utah. If you can easily get to the Western slope of the Sierra's you'll do good.
