    Try to keep a watchful eye, the carp may return and camp out in that hole for a while. Have you ever caught any smallies or rockbass out of that hole?

    This time of year fish are on the move as stated by matouse3

    I like this time of year when fishing streams and creeks, you catch a lot of fish while they are in transition from one spot to another.

    Since its spring, I would guess he's/she's moving upstream looking for some good, shallow breeding areas. That fish is probably just passing through and will probably move on out (downstream) when the water level drops or the temperature goes up.

    just the other day we saw a big carp in our creek. we saw him in this deep hole and i was wondering if you think he lives theres or is just passing through. this is the first time ive ever seen a carp back in the creek. do you think he would go up or down stream??
