Where can I catch some Muskie in North Dakota?

  • #2
From what I've read, North Dakota is not exactly the muskie capital of the U.S.
The state keeps introducing pure-bred fingerlings in various lakes, but they only seem to produce tiger muskies (a cross between muskies and northern pike).
The neighboring state of Minnesota is considerably better. I have fished in Leech Lake and taken some nice pike, but so far no muskies.

I'm not a muskie expert but in Ohio they are traveling out of the deep water and into connected feeder creeks this month.

Newark. I know a couple boys who played ball at Tiffin.

Went to a place near Mansfield today. Spotted two muskie in the river but they would have nothing to do with my Bulldog.

Fawning season and "leaf" season pretty much coincide here. By the time does start dropping fawns, the trees and understory have leafed out...

How's your local herd doing? Around here I seldom see many fawns in May, but everything seems to be a couple-three weeks ahead of schedule and we'll...

I agree that it's hypocritical to get upset over Jan 6 but not the summer of 2020. There were differences though. Floyd riots...
