Well I just ate my catch for the first time. Normally I'm catch and release but the perch and sunfish looked mighty fine. I just put it over the fire no seasoning no nothing and it was real good. Just wondering what are some of your guys campfire fish recipes.thanks!;-)

Put your fish in foil with butter or olive oil, seasoning, maybe some onion and carrots if you want to bother packing them along, wrap it all up and set it right in the coals (preferably after they've died down quite a bit). The standard "hobo pack."

I baked my last walleye with some lemon and butter (butter keeps it moist and adds a nice flavor, the lemon cuts any "fishy" taste).
For some fish like northern pike, I like to do a fish boil - this is a three step process where you start with bringing salted water to a rolling boil, add carrots and spuds, then later add onions and squash, add fish at the end (best to leave the skin on and I prefer to use a basket so the boiling veggies do not break the fish into small pieces). You can add some fish spices if you prefer but I like it "au natural". Takes about 30 minutes.
