Is it a good idea to use suckers during the summer in northern wisconsin, or should I just stick to using them in the fall?

If you're lazy, use them, I say just throw lures in the summer.

If the fish are hungry they will bite on them.

I tend not to use any live bait in the summer in northern wisconsin you've got as good a chance as catching one with a worm as with a sucker. My advice is fish next to weed beds and with something that has some flash.

Worms are live bait. Suckers work all year long.
