bluegill, I've caught them using a piece of somebody's junk line and a hook then putting a colorful piece of flower on the hook. all by using my hand, no pole.

          Bama,
I say bluegill but my friends in Ark on Beaver Lake say bream is a slightly different fish. I'm sure they are in the same family just like pumkinseed etc.

            muskiemaster,
I've caught plenty of bluegill on a hook that used to have a worm on it!

              Jim,
A few people around here say bluegill for one certain type and most people around here say bream as a name for the sunfish family as a whole. I atch all different kinds of bream including bluegill and shellcracker(redear sunfish). I guess it just depends on where you live.

Rainbow Trout? If that is the easiest fish for you to catch, I want to live in your neck of the woods. For the rest of the country, the easiest fish to catch would be the Sunfish family.

Sunfish - You can't keep them off the hook!

bluegill, bream, perch, sunfish. All related, and all eager for a little piece of worm.

Have to agree with buckhunter. Don't need much to catch bluegill and bullhead.
