My grandfather used hot dogs cut into chunks and marinated them in stinkbait for a few days, we always caught fish.

Bring worms. Catch small fish, use chunks to get big fish. it feels good catching the bait that caught the bait that caught the fish. A lot more rewarding

actually anything that stinks or bleeds. Stink bait or chicken hearts work good. The heart is tougher than livers and stay on better. Use a treble hook fished close to the bottom.
