    The ice is still on the lakes here in Michigan, but when it thaws what does the water temperature have to hit before crappie start to spawn.

    Crappies will start feeding when the water hits about 49F and start spawning around 54F.

      yeah, streack is right. BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN YOU CANT CATCH THEM. right now im catchin them in 4 ft of water at my lake on days when the sun is out, THEY ARE GUNNA GO SHALLOW, go with the slowest presentation possible

              Trophy class males (bull) can run 600 to 700 pounds.
              They are quite tasty. One of the kid's work mates donated some steaks to us.

              Just about all fixed up. Left to do is work on tach, install fuse block, install swim ladder, take am radio to repair shop, replace gromet in canvas....
