Find the fly that matches your hatch best, or fish a stimulator.

Where I came from the difference between a creek and a crick was a cow. Seems that terrestrials have always done wells for me (crickets, grasshoppers, beetles, ants, etc.).

Match the hatch that is currently going on in the stream, or go to a streamer or a stimulator type attractor pattern.

Try a stone fly, parachute fly, nat or a black fly.
