My friends use spinners and spoons in Pennsylvania.

Interesting. I was always a devout reader of the guidelines when you could at least grab a copy when you bought your license. In the past few years I'm in the habit of just checking for special regs in the body of water I'm fishing in and double checking seasons sizes and bag limits.
I also missed the unlimited # of hooks (to the point where I have semi-clipped sabiki rigs in my vest for pulling baitfish and sometimes crappie) and you'd have asked me I'd have said you were limited to 2 rods. Which I don't think I'll go past anyway because I'm a more active fisherman than that and even when stationary and have 2 unless it's catfish I've never been thrilled with the number of missed hits or swallowed baits.

    From the summary regs:

RODS, LINES, AND HOOKS – An angler may use a maximum of three lines fished either by rod or hand when fishing for gamefish, baitfish or both. An exception to this rule exists for those fishing through ice in winter (see Ice Fishing Equipment below). On open water (not covered by ice), it is unlawful for a person to fish with more than three fishing rods at a time. There is no restriction on the number of hooks used on each fishing line. All rods, lines and hooks shall be under the immediate control of the person using them.

SNAGGING HOOKS may not be used or possessed while in the act of fishing.
A snagging hook is a device designed or modified to facilitate the snagging of fish and may be a hook with a single barb, weighted on a shank below the eye and above the barbs; or a hook otherwise designed or modified to make the snagging of fish more likely than it would be with a normal hook.

Lol there used to be a three hook limit. For someone who fishes Pa and buys the regulation book every year I think I should know.

There is a 3 hook limit. But a treble is counted as one hook.

Yes they are level in Pa but every body of water has its own regulations. You would be well served to know the rules and regulation of the bodies of water you are fishing . Most being the large percentage of Pa waters do allow treble hooks.

Are treble hooks legal in PA?

So i have some spinners that have three points on one hook. At first i thought they were snagging hooks but i guess they're classified differently, but i'm not exactly sure. Are these illegal in PA to use?
