I've heard that jigs can catch almost anything. We fish with minnows in the ohio river for walleye.

One that you can "toy" off to bring them in and fight over.

depends on the fishing, if you are on the shore, run a flatfish with a crawler. make sure you use a trailer hook, walleye are usually "tail nippers' with the crawlers! Some good colors are: Red and chrome, and blue and silver

Jig's with nightcrawlers or minnows, has always worked for me.

Floaters work pretty well also, with nightcrawler or minnow.

I would use leadhead jigs tipped with either minnows or nightcrawler or if trolling a small spin n' glo (chartreuse) trailed by a nightcrawler.

If you troll real slow (back troll or drift) use a night crawler harness with just enough weight to get it down and bump the bottom. Make sure to use one that has a double hook.
