Question for all you Steelhead/Salmon fly anglers: What rigs or more specifically leaders, tippets, and knots do you prefer? I have used Mono and Fluoro and I usually tie my tippets on with a bloodknot and flys with an improved clinchknot. On my last trip I had a few times when my bloodknot failed me half way through the fight. Any tips you could give would be appreciated. Thanks

Does anybody else have trouble categorizing your Questions? It seems to happen to me all the time.

Flourocarbon is notorious for slipping. I have been advised to add head tying cement to the knot. You might want to try the double uni knot. See this link: www.everglades-fishing.com/fishing-knots.htm
