            crawfish for bass with a short retrieve and more delayed pause than usual. As rserw44 points out the grasshopper is quite effective for crappie and will less likely get you bass hits.

              For Bass I’ve found the “Jitterbug” to be the best crank bait. If you can get access to old stock pond it’s like throwing in a stick of dynamite in! Cast it out as far out as possible and real it in just fast enough until you hear a POP! POP! POP! POP! As you retrieve it and be ready! I have had bass jump up and bite the Jitterbug as I lifted it out of the water to make another cast!

                I have had more success with crawfish type cranks then any other design. Jitters and poppers just don't catch bass for me!?
