have to spend the rest of the year in the east monneapolis. recommended rivers to fish for smallmouth, pike, or sunfish till ice up? canoe or wading

The St. Croix river is a good river to fish in the East half of the cities. You should be able to fish from shore or from a canoe. If you can find backwaters of the Mississippi that is pretty easy fishing as well for bass and sunfish.
