You're going to fish a pond / lake you've never fished before. Water's murky, with the water temp in the mid 70s. You know theres largemouth in the water, but havent ever fished it before. My question is this ... what's your go to lure for a new lake? What do you tie on for that first cast?

Spinner bait, but what you choose is a matter of confidence. Everyone has that one lure that they've "mastered" so they're confident in it. I like spinner baits because they tend to be weedless and snag free. After I've used one to read the structure I'll switch to what the next best producer might be.
Maybe some kind of "minnow" like a rapala count down or swim bait of appropriate size and color.

What you do is look at your suroundings. Look under rocks, in the water, and in the air. find creatures that you have a lure for. I garuntee you your surroundings will catch you a bass

I'd start with a spinnerbait w/ a chartreuse body. You can cover a lot of water in a short amount of time. Second choice would be a rebel crankbait. Choose a lure you cover a lot of water quickly but that you feel confident in.
