So I have finally joined the ranks of flyfishing. My gf bought me a 8'6" #6 Hobbs creek rod with a variety of flies and a hip pack. I just spent a couple hours practicing in my backyard. Its definitely different but im starting to get the hang of it and I can tell Im going to have a lot of fun with it. So excited to get out on the water!

Welcome to the wonderful world of flyfishing! Some of the best cast practicing you can get is fishing for bluegills and pumpkin seeds. Any dry fly will do and they will not spook at poor casts. Have fun and tight lines!
